Shoulders and arms work together but they require substantially different workouts to make them bigger and stronger. The primary muscles found in these locations are as follows:

4. Tricep muscles brachii – the triceps muscles covers the back of the upper arm and consists of 3 areas – the long, medial and lateral heads. The role of the triceps muscles is to straighten the arm at the elbow.

5. Brachialis – this muscle lies in between the arm bone and biceps. When the palm is facing sideways, it assists the biceps to bend the elbow.

6. Forearm muscles – the forearms consist of lots of little muscles called extensors and flexors. The largest forearm muscle is the brachioradialis that lies close to the elbow.
